Traffic Crashes are the #1 Cause of Death for Students Ages 16-24
Are You Ready to Take the Challenge to Reduce These Deaths & Injuries? Oklahoma Challenge Can Help!
Oklahoma Challenge is a program funded by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office that brings traffic safety education to youth across Oklahoma. We organize Teen Traffic Safety Days to engage youth in traffic safety. Oklahoma Challenge staff coordinate the whole event, recruit local and statewide traffic safety partners, and provide all the activities. All you do is bring the young people. Our goal is to reduce traffic crash deaths and injuries across the state, focusing on novice drivers.
We do this work to help SAVE LIVES because it is our passion. We hope you will accept the challenge and join us!
We can bring a FREE, fun, interactive, hands-on traffic safety program for your students and educators to raise awareness about the importance of safe driving.
How a typical Oklahoma Challenge Traffic Safety Day is structured:
Distracted driving presentation - Provided to a large group of students in an auditorium-style area with screen and projector, if possible.
Inside Booth area – Fun, informative, interactional booths many with giveaways for the students.
Outside area – Includes hands-on large activities, semi-trucks, energy equipment, mule and cones, roll-over simulator, text wrecked car, etc.
Students rotate through our inside booths and our outside area activities. All students get to experience all the activities and stay busy and engaged the whole time!!
We can modify each event based on the location, number of students, and the number of partners able to join us. We can also invite surrounding schools in smaller towns and more rural parts of the state. We will work to create the best format & timing for your event.
